Yesterday’s Recap of the StarkNet Ecosystem has been sponsored by Oasis, a NFT marketplace on Starknet where you can Mint, Buy and Sell a lot of interesting creations. For the time being Oasis is Live on TestNet and they are looking for hiring both Blockchain & Full Stack Developers (also without Crypto Experience).
If you’re interested or you know somebody that could be, please get in touch with them through jobs@playoasis.xyz or their Discord .
Multiple Wallet supports being added to most StarkNet Dapps, Argent collects 40M in latest fund to boost development in Latin American Market, White hat hacking contest in Cairo announces the Winner.
Today I’d like to make some Geopolitical considerations as one of the most prominent Non-custodial Wallet provider in the space publicly stated that a good part of its latest round will be invested to target the whole Latin American market.
Such market includes an area that goes from Mexico below all the way down to Argentina while also englobing the Caribbean archipelago and, even if indirectly, the Latin American communities living in the States and in Canada.
We are talking about a vast continent where factors such as poor banking infrastructure, political corruption, inflation, IRL high unemployment & crime rate on one hand, and high resiliency, creativity to deal with hopeless central governments, and a relative young and growing population on the other hand, all of this making it a very fertile ground for Crypto & Web3 technologies. Furthermore, seeing that we’re going deep in the L2 age and Blockchain usability and cost will be improving a lot, the number of Latin American Web3 is probably going to skyrocket, also due to the fact that Crypto usage is already a common thing in inflation hit countries such as Argentina and Venezuela.
Finally, I also believe that Latin America could also be a place where many blockchain developers could be trained and helped in their career path from scratch, as both living and infrastructure costs are relatively cheap compared to the States and Europe, therefore DAOs and Web3 Companies could easily help funding the technical education of many skilled and talented people that deserve a chance to thrive in their lives without having to leave their birthplace and their community, as blockchain programming is a mostly remote working activity that doesn’t mean being able to travel while working only, but it also provides the opportunity to stay and raise the economic and cultural level of regions in difficulty.
I am sure that the Web3 companies and DAO gravitating around the L2 ecosystem will be trying their best to help the people in Latin American find new opportunities to make their lives better and safer.
